SCCI to address income, sales tax issues soon

The Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and industry (SCCI) would soon arrange a meeting for the business community to address income tax and sales tax related problems and to gather proposals for the coming federal budget and trade policy.
The decision to this effect was taken at a joint meeting of the SCCI's Standing Committee on Income Tax and Sales Tax, held here on Saturday. The Standing Committees on Income Tax and Sales Tax were represented by Haji Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Ishaq respectively.
The meeting held detailed deliberations over the matters relating to income tax and sales tax with special reference to electronic filing of the returns, value-addition and problems of the small traders regarding sales tax and income tax. It stressed upon the relevant quarters to address the same at the earliest.
Moreover, participants of the meeting also urged authorities of the income tax and sales tax to provide due facilities to the traders.
