An Anti-Terrorist Court headed by Mukarib Ali Khan rejected the bail applications of PML-N Punjab Secretary General Zaeem Qadri and Khawaja Saad Rafiq, MNA.
The court also rejected the bail application of Chairman Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (Nifaz-e-Shariat group) Engineer Saleem Ullah Khan. They were arrested on the charge of creating violence on February 14.
Their counsel contended that neither they were involved in any violent protest nor hatched any conspiracy in this regard. It was prayed to the court to allow them bail. The law officer contended before the court that the government has solid reasons to arrest them because of their involvement in conspiracy of hatching violent protest in the city. The court, after hearing their counsel at length, rejected their bail applications.
