The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday adjourned the proceedings in a petition challenging the detention of JI Ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmed till March 07, as law officer failed to produce any material pertaining to his detention.
During the course of last date of hearing, the LHC had directed the law officer to produce any material regarding the detention of Qazi Hussain but he failed to produce any material.
He, however, sought time to do needful. The court put off the proceedings and rose for the day.
The counsel of Qazi Hussain contended before the court that there was no reason for detention of Qazi Hussain, as his detention orders were issued with mala fide intentions. He prayed to the court to set aside the detention orders in question and order release of the applicant.
