After consistent reports of losing lives of innocent people by flying kites, the government put a ban on it. But as a goodwill gesture the government has allowed flying kites for a couple of weeks so that people could entertain themselves.
I was shocked to read, on the very first day that, a youth was killed by a chemically-coated kite string. No one knows what will happen in the next 15 days. We also get news from Clifton Beach in Karachi that youth died in motorbike races while using one-wheel stunts. Some time, people die in the happy firing of gun-shots in the air during marriages and other occasions.
I need to know why people don't understand in Pakistan? Do the people in Pakistan believe in copying and following the West by only wearing tie, suit, watching cable TV and using Western merchandise?
We Muslims are lucky that we have the opportunity to follow two schools of thoughts if we don't want to learn a lesson by one; (a) our religion Islam and (b) modern knowledge of the civilised world. For God's sake, parents, please do yourself a favour to leash your kids if they are so out of control.
Life is the most precious thing the creator has ever bestowed upon us. Please try to understand this unmatched gift of God.
