Futures posted fresh gain on the forward cottonseed oilcake market on Monday due to increased purchasing to meet the future needs, they said. The March vaida opened unchanged at Rs 485.00.
Later, it gained Rs 3.50 to be day's best at Rs 488.50 and closing was seen at the same level. In process of trading, it lost Rs 4.50 to be day's bottom at Rs 484.00.
The May vaida commenced at Rs 494.20 and that proved to be day's bottom at the same level, dealers said. During the day it gained Rs 1.90 to be day's best at Rs 496.10 and market settled at Rs 495.70, they said.
