Shopping arcade construction challenged

A tax consultant company has challenged the construction of I. MAX Theatre and Shopping Arcade over a space on Dongi Ground here at M.M. Alam Road.
Petitioner Muhammad and Ahmad (corporate and tax consultant) contended that the conversion of an open place to a commercial was illegal and without lawful authority.
It has, therefore, been prayed to the court to direct the respondent authorities to demolish the constructions made on the open space in violation of LDA Act 1975, Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and disposal of land by development authorities act 1998.
It has also been prayed to the court to direct the authorities concerned to take punitive action against the respondent officials for converting the open space to commercial land for construction of I.MAX Theatre and Shopping Arcade.
