The Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly and central leader of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, while strongly condemning publication of cartoons of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), has said the Ummah should face such a situation untidily.
He said: "Attacks on holy shrines in Iraq and other such measures are aimed at creating misunderstanding among the Muslims. "These moves, however met with utter failure." He was addressing a big meeting to protest publication of blasphemous caricatures by Denmark, Norway, Germany and other European countries. The meeting was organised by MMA here on Tuesday. Other leaders of alliance Hafiz Hussain Ahmad, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Hydri, Habibullah Naqshbandi, Ayaz Swati advocate provincial general secretary PML-N Dost Muhammad Agha, President Tehreek Insaf Balochistan and leaders of Anjuman Tajiran Balochistan also spoke on the occasion.
Criticising government policies Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that operation was being carried out in the name of terrorists in Wana.
Referring to President Bush's visit to India, he said that America signed agreements in energy, economy and other sectors, without signing the NPT.
