Leader of Malaysian business delegation and President of Association of Bumiputra Women Entrepreneur Network of Malaysia (Wena), Farida Omar Shah said on Wednesday that the association was arranging a trade visit for Pakistani businessmen and women to Malaysia from May 14 to 20 in connection with SMIDEX 2006 and Asean plus 3 SME convention.
Addressing members of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), she said that apart from the Asean members three other countries, including Japan, China and Korea, are also participating in the event.
She said that the event would help Pakistani entrepreneurs to explore business opportunities and also invited business community to visit Expo Center here and see Malaysian products and attend a business matching session on March 10.
Farida said that the Malaysian business community was interested in having joint ventures with Pakistani entrepreneurs in different fields and boost two-way trade.
She said that the Malaysian delegation includes businessmen and women interested in introducing their products and services such as property development, contracting, ICT, pre-school education, communication technology, plastic industry, food, packaging, apparel, event organising, landscaping, engineering, manufacturing, cosmetic and healthcare products and in return were eager to be a source for Pakistani products that they would be able to help market back in Malaysia.
Welcoming the guests, KCCI president Haroon Farooki said that he hoped that Malaysian entrepreneurs would not only explore investment opportunities in the property development but also in other potential areas of investment leading to the promotion of joint ventures and bilateral trade.
