The First World Kidney Day is being observed on Thursday (March 9) under the joint auspices of the International Society of Nephrology and International Federation of Kidney Foundations. To mark the occasion, the Karachi Press Club (KPC) will hold a Kidney Camp at the premises of the KPC.
The KPC Secretary Najeeb Ahmed announced this in a statement on Wednesday.
He said Dr Jaffer Naqvi and members of his team would conduct check up of the members of the KPC as well as their family members.
A special lecture pertaining to kidney diseases would also be delivered on the occasion.
Various tests pertaining to the kidney diseases would also be conducted. The timings of the Kidney Camp at the KPC on Thursday (March 9) will be from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm, it was further announced.
Meanwhile, the World Kidney day is being observed to help increase the awareness of chronic kidney diseases and its associated cardiovascular morbidity.
