The Hyderabad District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil has expressed his dissatisfaction over the standard of education in government schools in the district.
Kanwar Naveed dilated the children getting their education in private schools show good performance hence we were not satisfied with the standard of government schools, despite the fact that private schools pay less salaries to their employees in comparison to the government schools but getting better results. That shows there was a gap in the system, he added.
He observed this during meeting with the District Education Committee at his office on Wednesday. He directed the EDO Education to convert 10 schools of the district into English medium schools from next academic year. He said to make target for 100 schools to be converted into English medium school from the next year, so that quality education may be provided to the poor students also. Talking about the shortage of teachers, the District Nazim said Sindh government had lifted ban on new appointments.
