NWFP Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Amir and Provincial Senior Minister Sirajul Haq has regretted that the entire world cried on the destruction of idols in Baamyaan province of Afghanistan by Taleban regime, terming it against religious and cultural values due to which economic sanctions were imposed and conspiracies were started to topple Taleban government.
But the world community remained silent spectators on blasphemy of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) which was the bitter example of dual standard of West rulers.
He was addressing the Seerat Conference at Batagram on Wednesday besides others it was also addressed by NWFP Environment Minister Shahraz Khan, District Nazim Ihsanullah Khan, MNA Shabbir Ahmad Khan, Provincial Head of Al-khidmat Foundation Dr Iqbal Khalil, JI District Amir Nisar Ahmad Khan and Nazim UC Rashang, Maulana Muhammad Ayaz who highlighted the role of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) for human character building, welfare and global peace and fraternity.
On this occasion, Maulana Muhammad Ayaz paid rich tributes to the JI for its endeavours to establish corruption-free Islamic welfare society and dedicated service of people and announced joining it along with his hundreds supporters.
He reposed full confidence in central and provincial leadership of the party and assured all co-operation in implementing the people-friendly policies of the MMA government.
A number of other political workers, councillors and elite of various union councils also joined the JI with their supporters and family members.
Sirajul Haq that Muslim Ummah could not tolerate blasphemy and they would continue their protest till achievement of the goal. He condemned the neglect attitude of Muslim rulers in this respect and demanded strict measures to pressurize the western countries concerned otherwise he warned the people and history would not forgive them.
The senior minister while referring to the measures for rehabilitation and reconstruction of the earthquake affected areas said that Provincial Earthquake Rehabilitation Agency (Pera) has been established for this purpose wherein reconstruction of the affected roads, schools, hospitals, residential and administration buildings has been started in well-disciplined manner.
He especially appreciated the role of Al-Khidmat Foundation in relief and reconstruction activities and directed its authorities present on the occasion to continue the rehabilitation process with active support of the philanthropists.
