The Pakistan Academy of Medical Sciences, at its 14th Annual Convocation held in Rawalpindi on February 25th awarded Gold Medal Award for "Leadership in Public Health" to Dr Nasim Ashraf Chairman National Commission for Human Development (NCHD).
Dr Nasim Ashraf was selected in 2006 for this special Gold Medal Award based on developing a Primary Health Care Model for developing countries which has been internationally acclaimed for improving the lives of the poor in Pakistan.
