According to investigations, same kind of weapons and ammunitions were used in various terrorist acts elsewhere in the agency. The terrorists have been using these weapons indiscriminately that often fell on civilian population. Besides, there had been numerous instances where mine blasts by the terrorists caused death to innocent civilians and personnel of security forces.
Security forces also busted terrorists' den, planning and organising centre established in the hostel of Madrassah Gulshanul Aloom owned by Moulvi Abdul Khaliq near Miranshah, it added.
It said, over 100 terrorists have been killed by the security forces in the recent operations while nine others, including foreigners, have been arrested.
