At least 10 tents were gutted to ashes when fire erupted at a tentage village located at Neelam Park set up for October 8 earthquake victims, however no loss of life was reported, police said here on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Muzaffarabad, Chaudhry Liaqat Hussain said that there was no loss of life, however, some belongings of the people living in these tents were completely gutted.
He added that fire brigade team and civil administration officials rushed to the spot and managed to bring the fire under control. He said another fire broke out and quickly engulfed the other tents, when a lady was preparing meal in her tent.
