Drive against encroachment

Town Municipal Administration (TMA) has speeded up campaign against the encroachments in the area. Town Nazim Sheikh Rashid Shafiq has directed the anti-encroachment staff to eradicate the encroachments.
The TMA staff on Saturday started an operation against encroachment in Raja Bazaar, Bara Market, Talwaran Bazar, Dalgaran Bazar, Mochi Bazar, Gunjmandi and Cotton Market.
The TMA staff confiscated two full truckloads of goods from outside the shops of the bazars. They also removed kiosks, carts and street vendors clearing roads and footpaths. Dozens of traders were also fined for spreading goods stalls outside their shops. A TMA official told this scribe that the anti-encroachment drive would continue till eradication of all encroachments from the town.
