Punjab Irrigation Minister, taking notice of complaints submitted by tail-end farmers, has ordered the department authorities to ensure supply of water to the land of tail-enders and stop water-theft.
In a circular, the minister has asked the authorities to redress grievances of farmers. Tail-end growers lodged a complaint with the Punjab chief minister that influential people had developed illegal watercourses in their area and there was an acute shortage of water for the land of tail-enders.
