University of Jammu Vice Chancellor Professor Amitabh Mattoo expressed his desire to enhance educational ties with the Government College University Lahore.
He was leading a 10-member delegation, comprising Professor AM Sadhu, Professor Ashok Aima, Professor Raju Gupta, Professor Poshchark, Professor Nirmal Kumar, Dr Menakshi Kalam, Dr Shahab Inayat Malik, Anil Suri and Happy Mohan.
Professor Dr Khairat Muhammad Ibne Rasa was also present on the occasion.
During the meeting with GC University Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Khalid Aftab, Dr Mattoo showed interest in academic and research collaboration with the GC University.
He said that the University of Jammu was set up in 1969 and had established a number of academic collaborations with the national and international educational institutions.
Professor Dr Khalid Aftab apprised the delegation about the educational activities and historic perspective of the GC University and said the GCU had produced scientists, politicians, poets, sportsmen and engineers of high caliber.
Dean of Science Professor Dr M A Kashmiri and dean of Arts Professor Dr Sohail Ahmed Khan of GCU also apprised the visiting members about the different discipline studies being offered at the GCU.
Professor Amitabh Mattoo also extended invitation to the GCU vice chancellor for visiting the University of Jammu.
