The Karachi Port handled 65,352 tonnes of cargo including 51,269 tonnes import and 14,083 tonnes export cargo including 4,461 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 65,352 tonnes dry cargo including 53,270 tonnes general cargo and 12,082 tonnes bulk cargo. Three ships namely Eax Sanctity, European Highway and Al Mamoori-2 sailed out to sea during the report period.
Seven vessels viz Maersk Alabama, Corinthiakos, Orient Independence, Regine, EOS-1, Nanos and European Highway are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Regine and Maersk Alabama expected to sail on Saturday, while two more ships namely Orient Independence and Corinthiakos are expected to sail on Sunday.
Three ships namely MT Johar, New Vega and Rosita due to arrive on Saturday, while nine vessels viz Kota Tampan, Iran Kordestan, Ever Guide, Sagamore, Kol Asante, Bunga Kenari, Iran Tabatabaei, Energy Falcon and Morning Sun are due to arrive on Sunday.
Seven ships namely Meriom Dream, Champion Pionee, Hanjin Busan, Sinar Bontang, Ocean Wave-1, Med Diginity and BBC Greece are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 106,739 tonnes comprising 89,943 tonnes import and 16,796 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,370 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 48,492 tonnes diesel oil; 9,369 tonnes wheat; 3,752 tonnes iron ore; 4,700 tonnes coal and 40,326 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two ships namely CV Amasis and MV Torm Marta sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two vessels viz Msc Brasilia and MT Fair Spirit are expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of four vessels viz Msc Selin, Msc Nededland, Mariella and Bulk Canada are currently at the outer anchorage.
Four ships namely CV Msc Selin, CV Merker Beach, MT Azov Wing and MT Mariella due to take berths on Saturday.
Two vessels viz MT Warbah and MT Anette Kosan with HSD oil and chemicals due to arrive on Saturday, while four more ships namely MV Hua Shan Hai, Diler-4, CV Hurst Point and MT Yanaseni with iron ore, fertiliser and containers are due to arrive on Sunday.
PORT QASIM WEEKLY
OPERATIONAL ACTIVITY A total cargo volume of 484,264 tonnes comprising 359,987 tonnes import and 124,277 tonnes export cargo was handled during last week ending on Friday, 17th March 2006.
The cargo comprised of 98,569 tonnes diesel oil; 31,500 tonnes edible oil; 47,651 tonnes wheat; 40,802 tonnes coke; 5,022 tonnes chemicals; 13,131 tonnes rice; 52,922 tonnes iron ore and 194,667 tonnes containerised cargo.
A total of nineteen ships took berths to load/off load the above cargo, while nineteen vessels sailed out to sea during the reporting week ending on Friday, 17th March 2006.
