Raza Rabbani senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) has stressed upon arriving of a political solution of Balochistan crisis and asked for immediate halt of operations in the province. He was speaking in a seminar on "Socio-economic and Political Situation in Pakistan" held under the auspices of the PPPP Information Wing here on Sunday.
Rabbani vowed that his party that was committed to the integrity of the country would not let its sovereignty of the country be mortgaged to any one. He pointed that in order to save the federation a political government need be established. He said like British, divide and rule policy was being practised here.
The PPPP leader speaking about political situation in the country pointed that country was standing at highly volatile crossroads at present. He stressed upon the leaders not to repeat mistakes of the past so that nation was not put in difficult situations again and again.
Former senator giving his opinion on the sugar crisis in the country blamed it on a number of ministers sitting in the government ranks. He demanded that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should immediately be done away with as it had failed to respond to needs of the nation in recent sugar crisis in the country.
Rabbani averring that Pakistan of 1947 with broken furniture in offices was better than that of the present day, as its sovereignty and authority was at least in its own hands, he pointed.
Former Federal Minister Aitizaz Ahsan speaking on the occasion said that that PPPP at during its government could not give its best potential as despite being in government power was not in true sense relegated to it. Aitizaz said in genuine elections, if held after correction in voting lists would again give power to PPPP. He dilated that PPPP was party of the masses and had power of people behind it.
He castigating government for obliterating political system in the country said it was only democracy that would strengthen country at every level.
Navid Chaudhry Secretary Information Punjab PPPP speaking on the occasion said that 70 percent sources of the country were in the hands of 11 families. Criticising government he said that sugar, stock and other such crisis were gifts of it.
Taj Haider PPPP leader in his address on the occasion emphasised on changing electoral lists as he pointed that as it contained large number of bogus votes in them. He said that PPPP that was a party of the masses would safeguard the interests of theirs and give an economic program to uplift their cause, he added.
Farzana Raja legislator provincial assembly Punjab, Khalid Kharal, Nawabzada Mansur Vice Chairman ARD and others spoke on the occasion.
