National Bank of Pakistan Vice President, Agriculture Wing, Niaz Khan said that the government was determined to bring about a green revolution in the country through solid economic policies, facilitating farmers, strengthening the agriculture sector and provision of loans on soft terms and conditions.
He was speaking at a seminar held on Sunday at a local hotel with the collaboration of Al Ghazi Tractors Ltd and Shell Pakistan Limited.
"Pakistan is making progress by leaps and bounds due to farmer-friendly economic policies," he added.
Al Ghazi Tractors is also playing a pivotal role in boosting up the living standard of agriculturist, Niaz Khan said. The NBP VP said that the company has not increased prices of tractors since last eight years, as the administration was fully aware of the problems of farmers.
Nadeem Ahmad, General Manager Marketing Al Ghazi Tractors, Ijaz Ahmad Khan, Director Shell Pakistan, Farooq Abid, Yusaf Ali ,Sultan Ali, Haji Mohammad Qasim Bhatti also spoke on the occasion.
