Punjab government has decided to launch Chief Minister's Sugar Supply Scheme-2006 with effect from Monday March 20 under which a packet of 2-kg would be given to the deserving families at rate of Rs 20 per kg in Faisalabad District.
This was disclosed by DCO Faisalabad Major Azam Suleman Khan (Retd), while talking to newsmen after presiding over a high level meeting in which sugar distribution arrangements have been finalised.
He said that 422,140 sugar packets would be provided to the deserving families at the offices of 289 union councils of Faisalabad District during the eight months (March-October 2006).
