A four-hour shutter down and road blockade was observed here on Sunday. According to details, one person Ali Jan Shahwani was killed by dacoits while snatching his motorcycle a few days back. On Sunday Shahwani Ittehad protesting over non-arrest of the accused blocked main road at Mastung Chungi. Bazaars also remained closed from 9 am to 1 pm.
Later District Naib Nazim Iqbal Zehri and DPO Hamid Shakil held talks with Nawabzada Mohammad Khan Shahwani, Chairman Shahwani
Ittehad, and others. The protestors gave 120-day deadline for the arrest of the accused, saying, otherwise they would resort to protest again.
After the agreement road and shops were opened.
