Senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Nayeem Ahmad Khan, has said that Pakistan has shown sincerity and flexibility by proposing demilitarisation and self-governance in Kashmir but India lacked courage and will to reciprocate.
He stressed that the proposals will provide headway for final settlement of Kashmir issue.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a statement in occupied Srinagar, he underlined that Kashmiris are the basic party to the dispute and they must be included in the dialogue process.
Nayeem Ahmed Khan said that on one hand India has engaged itself with Pakistan in a composite dialogue and confidence building measures and on the other hand its troops have let loose a reign of terror in occupied Kashmir.
The people of occupied Kashmir are suffering from worst kind of human rights violations by Indian forces and troops are killing innocent people whenever and wherever they want. Extra judicial killings have become order of day, Nayeem Khan maintained, pointing out that talks and state-terrorism could not go together.
The APHC leader said India will never be able to crush the freedom struggle of Kashmiris, who, he added, would continue to lay their lives for liberation of their homeland. Nayeem Ahmad Khan appealed the international community to play its due role to help resolve Kashmir dispute, release all Kashmiri political prisoners and end the gross human rights violations being committed by the Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.
