Sindh Health Minister Shabhir Ahmed Qaimkhani on Sunday said that practical steps are being taken to ensure provision of improved health facilities to masses at their doorsteps.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of a Dispensary in Korangi UC-5, he said the public-private partnership will be helpful to ensure the provision of modern health facilities to people. He said the government will employ all possible resources to improve the basic health system in the province.
Shabbir Ahmed also warned of strict action against those, who are allegedly involved in business of perilous medicine, adding they are not loyal to the country and nation.
The minister said the health department is playing its due role in checking pharmaceutical manufacturing and controlling its prices so that common man could easily avail benefits from health services.
Talking about the Dispensary in Korangi UC-5, he said the dispensary will provide better health services to the local people.
He has directed the doctors to devote their services for patients' welfare and humanity. He also directed the doctors to make efforts with the objective to ensure the provision of health facilities to rural population of Sindh.
Shabbir Qaimkhani also urged the doctors, who belong to rural areas, to work in their respective hometown. Among others, MPA Jarrar Haider Shah, Town Nazim Korangi Arif Khan, Naib Nazim Asghar Qureshi, Executive District Officer Health Dr Khalid Sheikh and Town Health Officer Korangi Abdul Shakoor were also present.
