President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Monday condoled the death of S.H. Hashmi, founder of country's prime advertisement agency Orient McCann.
Hashmi, who died today in Karachi after protracted illness, was the pioneer of advertisement and marketing industry. He was 71. In separate condolence messages, the President and Prime Minister lauded the services of S.H. Hashmi for advertisement, marketing and newspaper industry.
They said, Hashmi played leading role in developing the advertisement and marketing industry and his services would be long remembered.
They said that the deceased introduced new trends in the field of marketing and advertisement. They prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to his family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.-
Shujaat Mussain, Secretary General, PML, Mushahid Mussain Syed and Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi on Monday condoled the demise of Chairman Orient Advertisers, S.M Mashmi, father of PML' Additional Secretary Information, Syed Mehmood Mashmi. In their separate condolence messages, they prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Monday also condoled the demise of Chairman Orient Advertisers, S.H. Hashmi.

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has expressed his heartfelt sorrow over the sad demise of Pakistan's outstanding advertiser S.M. Hashmi who breathed his last here.
In a message the Chief Minister said the services of Hashmi in the field of advertising will always be remembered. He said in his death Pakistan has been deprived of a patriotic person. He prayed to Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant fortitude to the bereaved 'family to bear the great loss.
Pakistan Association of Press Photographers (PAPP) has also expressed its grief and sorrow over the departing of S.M. Mashmi who was patron in chief of this Association.
