Terming the ruling PML(Q) as a group of selfish elements, the former Prime Minister, Mian Nawaz Sharif, has ruled out any possibility of his party's rapprochement with it. He stated this in his telephonic address to the PML-N workers at a function arranged by the PML (N) Lahore President, Mian Marghoob Ahmad, here on Monday.
Nawaz made it clear that they would not join hands with PML (Q). How can we make any deal with the present rulers who violated the Constitution, he questioned?. He vowed to continue his movement against usurpers. He asked the party workers not to get frustrated, as very few days of hardships are left.
He stated that he was proud of his workers, as those who were arrested have faced hardships and he himself was facing difficulties while being abroad. He claimed that the nation did not like the role played by President Musharraf on vital issues of national importance. He said that he was well aware that situation was not good for PML (N) workers and they were being put behind the bars.
Nawaz said that he himself has tasted the hardships, and neither he was guilty nor his workers. He alleged that those who violated the law and Constitution were roaming freely while those who were raising voice against this violation were being put behind the bars. He said that Javed Hashmi and others were clear examples of this high-handedness. He said that whole nation would have sweet fruit of bravery with which PML (N) workers and leaders were facing the hard times.
He claimed that nation was not with President Musharraf rather it was with PML (N). He said that those who were supporting those against PML (N) would never be taken back in the party fold. He said that proposal of alliance with PML (Q) was impracticable and on what grounds he should join hands with those who divided his party.
