The textile and leather garment machinery exhibition Igatex-2006, which is scheduled to be held at Karachi Expo Center from April 26, will have nine-country pavilions.
According to organisers here on Tuesday, at the Karachi Expo Center the exhibition would have country pavilions for Italy, Turkey, Singapore, Switzerland, Germany, Korea, India, Spain and China. China will be the single largest country participating in the event. Minister of Textile Industry, Mushtaq Ali Cheema has welcomed the holding of Igatex-2006 and shown strong support for four-day event.
Sri Lankan Minister of Development & Investment, Rohitha Bogollagama will visit Igatex 2006 and attend the roundtable conference along with many international textile machinery manufacturers' associations.
The conference will focus on "The Role of Technology in the Development of the Textile Industry in Pakistan and South Asia in the Context of the WTO Environment".
