Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center has collected donations worth Rs 40 million during its fundraising function with Hollywood actress Elizabeth Hurley as chief guest.
Giving details about the donations, the hospital's spokesman, Khawaja Nazir Ahmad said that an amount of Rs 7 million was collected out of sale of watch and necklace which were brought by Ms Liz for auction. The watch was auctioned for Rs one million while necklace was sold against Rs six million.
