Sindh Chief Minister, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has vowed that he will not rest until corruption and malpractice's are weeded out from the province and all steps would be taken in this regard.
The Chief Minister had ordered an inquiry into the alleged large-scale bogus recruitment of teachers in District Jacobabad in March 2003.
In the light of the inquiry report, the Chief Minister on Friday ordered registration of a case by the anti-corruption department against 22 officials and personnel of Jacobabad district.
According to the inquiry committee report, Sindh government had imposed ban on February 16, 1996 on recruitment's in the province. During the course of this ban, a number of posts were lying vacant. However, during this period, bogus recruitment's were made on 122 vacancies with the connivance of staff of District Accounts office Jacobabad.
The salaries of the fake recruits were also received and a big loss caused to government exchequer.
As per inquiry report those found involved in these bogus recruitment's were Bashir Ahmed Shaikh, EDO Education Jacobabad, Alauddin Jakhrani, District Officer Secondary Education Jacobabad, Miss Naziran Ansari, District Officer Elementary Education Jacobabad, Rawat Khan Abro, Assistant Accounts Officer Jacobabad, Chandar Mohan, Deputy District Officer Secondary Education Jacobabad, Altaf Buriro, Auditor, Office of District Accounts Officer Jacobabad, District Accounts Officer Jacobabad, Saleem Shaikh, the then Head Master G.H.S. Mubarakpur, Ghulam Shabbir Khund, existing District Officer Sports (Education) Jacobabad, Azizullah Odho, Principal G.H.S.S. Garhi Khairo, Ghulam Nabi Buriro, the then subject specialist G.H.S.S. Garhi Khairo and presently ADEO Garhi Khairo, Khuda Bux Nonari, former Head Master G.H.S, Mirpur Buriro, present H.S.T, Bashir Ahmed, the then Head Master G.H.S., Banglo Saeedan, present DDO Elementary, Jangi Khan Jakhrani, retired Head Master G.B.H.S. Gudu, Ashok Kumar, Head Master G.H.S. Shiranpur, Mohammed Bux Ogai, Retired Headmaster G.H.S, Gullan Kot, Ghulam Qadir Hajano, Din Mohammed Saharyani, ADEO Kandhkot, Ghulam Qadir Soomro, Band Master G.H.S. Khahi, Allah Bux Soomro, Headmaster G.H.S. Gullan Kot, Illahi Bux Soomro, ADEO Kashmore, Sadiq Ali, Kathor, Subject Specialist G.H.S.S. Garhi Khairo, Abdul Nabi Kalwar, Principal G.H.S. Kashmore and Abdul Jabbar Wavo, G.M.S. Thul.
The Chief Minister asked the Chairman Anti-Corruption to take stringent action against the culprits involved.
