On behalf of the consumers, I am registering this complaint in your newspaper about the extensive sugar shortage and strike in the wholesale market in Jodia Bazar, Karachi. It is difficult to buy this very important commodity.
The wholesalers, dealers and retailers have said that the unnecessary and irrelevant recent introduction of the "licence" by the provincial government disturbs routine business transactions seriously. Unless and until the provincial government revokes this order the strike and shortage of sugar will go on.
