The government is planning to open five more universities in the country and a huge amount has been allocated for this purpose. Minister for Manpower Ghulam Sarwar Khan, while talking to PTV said, the government had decided to set up a network of educational institutions with special focus on technical education to fill the skill gap.
Referring to the network of polytechnic institutions in the country, the minister said, "Unemployed youth will get remuneration with the training of various skills, and every district will have a most modern technical institute."
He said, National Vocational and Technical Authority headed by Altaf Saleem was working to set up technical institutes with the help of provincial governments.
The minister said, "the government has initiated a number of projects for providing basic facilities of life to the people like gas, water, roads, health and educational facilities at their doorsteps.
