Wheat futures at the Chicago Board of Trade were higher early on Thursday on a rebound from recent declines and strength in outside markets, notably gold, traders said.
As of 10:55 am CST (1655 GMT), CBOT May wheat was up 3-1/4 cents at $3.45 per bushel but stayed inside of Wednesday's trading range. Deferred months were up 2 to 3-3/4 cents. Rand Financial bought 400 May and 200 July contracts, traders said.
Early strength in Kansas City wheat lent added support. KCBT May wheat was up 4-1/2 cents at $4.11.
