Lahore District Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood on Friday inaugurated the first-ever 'compost plant' set up by the private sector at a cost of Rs 220 million, which would manufacture 90,000 tonnes organic fertiliser from the solid waste of 250 tonnes, being collected from the city on daily basis.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Mian Amer said that with the participation of private sector, the projects of City District Government Lahore would benefit the city people.
