Pakistan rejects the so-called theory, presenting China as threat in the region, said Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs' Chairman Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed.
Addressing a select gathering of scholars at the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, he said China consistently pursued a policy of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries and firmly adhered to five-principles of peaceful co-existence.
"Pakistan considers China a source of peace, security and development in the region," he said, adding: "It has been a hallmark of the Chinese policy, seeking settlement of regional and international conflicts through negotiation and other peaceful means."
Mushahid noted that China had been playing a very positive and constructive role in the regional organisations and promoted the concept of common development for a win-win situation.
"We highly valued our strategic partnership with China and cherished working together in the regional bodies like, Shanghai Co-operation Organisation, ASEAN regional Forum and Boao Forum of Asia," he said.
He told APP on Friday that he had very positive talks with the members of Chinese think-tank, promoting understanding on the issues of common concern.
Pakistan, he said, had welcomed China in the Saarc as an observer and was expecting its effective support achieving the task of rapid socio-economic development in South Asia.
Mushahid, who was here leading a PML's delegation on the invitation of Communist Party of China, further said his country attached great importance to its friction-free; and time-tested relation with China. He commended China for its steadfast and unflinching support to Pakistan without attaching any political strings.
"China has always supported Pakistan in hour of need without any pre-conditions," he said, adding, Beijing's assistance to Pakistan had always been based on promoting principle of self-reliance and not forging dependence on aid.
He noted the Sino-Pak ties were based on the principles of respect, non-interference in each other's internal affairs as well as mutual respect for state sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Saying it was 10th time for him to visit China, first one in 1970 as a student, Mushahid Hussain said he was highly impressed by its two major achievements.
One in the economic sector, that China successfully raised the life of almost 300 million people from the poverty-line and brought them to mainstream in a short span of time. China's on-going efforts bridging the income-gap between poor and rich and between rural and the urban population were also unprecedented in the human history.
Other achievement was in political field, that after 16th National Party Congress in 2003, there was a voluntarily retirement of all members of the politburo of the Communist Party of China, who had reached the age of 70, including Jiang Zemin, he said.
There was a smooth political transition of power to the fourth generation, led by President Hu Jintao. The simultaneous voluntarily retirement of the top leadership was a remarkable event in the political history.
In fact, strength of China's political system was based on Chinese 1000-year-old rich civilisation, he said, adding in Asia, Pakistan took pride of China's achievements.
Mushahid went on to add, China-Pakistan relationship served as a model, between the two neighbours who were different in size, strength and social background. Citing the recent successful visit to China by President Pervez Musharraf, he said it reinforced their co-operatives relationship in all areas of common interest, including defence, energy and trade.
