State Trading Corporation of Mauritius has indicated interest in the procurement of cotton products, rice and wheat flour from Pakistan.
This interest was shown by Chief Executive Ranjit Sindh Soomaroach in a meeting with Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) Chairman Asif Zaman Ansari and Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (Reap) President Haji Abdul Majeed.
According to TCP sources here on Friday, an indicative lost of items of trading interest to both the countries was finalised by the two sides at the meeting.
The two sides negotiated to finalise a memorandum of understanding (MoU) draft, which is to be singed between the two counterparts.
The MoU will provide a broad framework for further strengthening trade ties between Pakistan and Mauritius.
