NWFP Governor Khalil-ur-Rehman on Friday presided over a high level meeting at Governor's House, which took stock of the law and order situation in Fata as well as certain settled areas of the province.
Chief Secretary Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi, IGFC Major General Mohammad Alam Khatak, Fata Secretary Mohammad Shahzad Arbab, Secretary to Governor Arbab Mohammad Arif and Political Agent Khyber Agency Fida Wazir attended the meeting.
The meeting also reviewed the situation in Bara Tehsil of Khyber Agency and suggested steps for future course of action. The political agent briefed the meeting about the current situation in the area and the progress achieved so for.
Khalil-ur-Rehman expressed the government's firm resolve to bring all those under the net who are trying to defy writ of the government whether they are in Bara, North and South Waziristan or in the settled districts of the province.
He directed authorities to show no leniency or let up in the government's move against miscreants and mischief mongers.
Meanwhile, Advocate General of NWFP Muhammad Younas Tanoli, who has tendered his resignation from his present assignment, made a courtesy call on to the NWFP Governor, at Governor's House here on Friday.
Talking on this occasion, the governor appreciated services rendered by the advocate general and desired that the advocate general should continue his present assignment till further orders.
