Union Group of Companies will construct a cement plant with estimated cost of Rs 8 billion in Khushab. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the company and China Building Material Corporation (CBMC) here on Saturday at a local hotel.
Giving the details of the plant, chairman of the group, Zulfiqar Ali said that the work on the plant will start in June this year while it would be completed in one and half year's time with 5,500 tons per day production. Bank of China will provide loan to the Chinese companies for the construction and installation of plant, he added.
The company is also interested to set up another plant in D.G. Khan, Ali said.
