The Karachi Port handled 93,560 tonnes of cargo including 73,733 tonnes import and 19,827 tonnes export cargo including 3,792 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 57,984 tonnes dry cargo including 47,189 tonnes general cargo; 6,543 tonnes fertiliser; 4,252 tonnes rice and 35,576 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Orient Independence, Ltc Calvian P. Titus, MOL Kauri, An Yue Jiang and Energy Falcon sailed out to sea during the report period.
Four vessels viz Ltc Calvian P. Titus, Thor Captain, Maersk Alabama and Hyun Kwang are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Refeli-1, Iron Butterfly Yasmine and Thor Captain expected to sail on Sunday.
One ship namely Spring Trader due to arrive on Saturday, while four vessels viz Jade Trader, H S Discoverer, Pu He and Sagamore are due to arrive on Sunday.
Three vessels viz Queen Trader, Hanjin Busan and Kota Teraju are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 88,641 tonnes comprising 67,540 tonnes import and 21,101 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,896 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 41,804 tonnes furnace oil; 5,767 tonnes rice; 8,838 tonnes chemicals and 32,232 tonnes containerised cargo.
Container vessel Wadi Alrayan sailed out to sea on Saturday morning, while three vessels viz Msc Atlantic, MV Banglar Mookh and MT Agen Tiger are expected to sail on the same day.
A total of two vessels viz San Clemente and Iran Borhan are currently at the outer anchorage.
Two ships namely CV San Clemente and MT Temasek due to take berths on Saturday.
Edible oil vessel MT Samho Jewelry due to arrive on Saturday, while two container ships namely CV MSC Socotra and Anvil Point are due to arrive on Sunday.
PORT QASIM WEEKLY OPERATIONAL ACTIVITY A total cargo volume of 441,465 tonnes comprising 305,845 tonnes import and 135,620 tonnes export cargo was handled during last week ending on Friday, 31st March 2006.
The cargo comprised of 64,993 tonnes crude oil; 7,000 tonnes edible oil; 48,600 tonnes seeds; 44,000 tonnes coke; 3,016 tonnes chemicals; 32,972 tonnes fertiliser; 15,039 tonnes rice and 225,845 tonnes containerised cargo.
A total of seventeen ships took berths to load/off load the above cargo, while eighteen vessels sailed out to sea during the reporting week ending on Friday, 31st March 2006.
