At least five people including two women have died and another 15 injured when a Jalalpur Pirwala bound Toyota Hiace van fell into a canal at a Pul-Ashiqabad near Chowk Naag Shah in Multan when two vans were engaged in racing on Multan-Shujabad-Jalalpur Pirwala road on Sunday morning.
Rescue teams immediately took operation and saved the lives of passengers. However, five passengers including two women died. Three passengers died at the spot and another died in Nishtar Hospital emergency ward. Three of them were identified as Abdul Rehman, Nazar Muhammad and Haleema Mai.
