The women wing of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz on Monday staged a protest demonstration at Chowk Kutchery against the detention of Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, acting chief of PML, Khawaja Saad Rafiq and Zaeem Qadri and political detenus and demanded for their immediate release.
Begum Sultana Shaheen, Begum Shaheen Shafiq led the rally, while PML leaders Maulvi Sultan Alam, Anwar Ali, Bilal Butt, Zaman Shah, Munir Akhtar Langah Malik, Tariq Rashid joined them.
Participants shouted slogans "Go Musharraf go, Javed Hashmi, Zaeem Qadri and Saad Rafiq Ko Riha Karo, Nawaz Sharif Zindabad, and Democracy Zindabad". Later, they dispersed peacefully.
