Top seeded Russian Nadia Petrova rallied from a second set stumble to beat Czech wild card Katerina Bohmova 6-1, 6-7 (6/8), 6-3 on Tuesday at the WTA Bausch and Lomb Championships.
One of eight seeds to have a first-round bye, Petrova cruised through the first set and held a 4-1 lead in the second before Bohmova rallied to force a third set.
