The government promoted Air Commodores Farhat Hussain Khan and Riaz-ul-Haq to the rank of Air Vice Marshal. Air Vice Marshal Farhat Hussain Khan was commissioned in Pakistan Air Force on March 06, 1977 in Flying Branch.
During his career he has commanded a fighters' squadron, fighters' wing and an operational base.
He is a graduate of Combat Commanders' School, Air War Course and National Defence Course. He has also served in India as Air Attache. He is recipient of Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-e-Basalat.
