A section of the Army units which were called into the city on Thursday moved out towards the Malir Cantonment area via the Sharae Faisal on Friday evening.
All army units stationed in Karachi have been withdrawn and normal law and order enforcement is being carried out by the Police and Rangers in co-ordination.
The presence of the army units at important sensitive places in the city on Friday promoted a sense of security and confidence among the people and many of the petrol pumps were also operating at low-key providing limited quantity of petrol and diesel to customers.
