The top-seeded Belgian beat Croatian Karolina Sprem 6-4, 6-4 to improve to 13-0 in the event, which she won in 2003 and missed in 2004 before returning to reclaim the title in 2005.
Henin-Hardenne, who already has won events at Sydney and Dubai this year, will face Russian Dinara Safina, who beat Ukranian Julia Vakulenko 6-7 (6/8), 6-2, 6-2, in Friday's quarter-finals.
Second-seeded Nadia Petrova of Russia also advanced to the quarter-finals, besting 14th-seeded Czech Lucie Safarova 6-1, 6-3.
Petrova, who won her second title of the year and third career last Sunday at Amelia Island, Florida, next will face Catalina Castano.
The Columbian advanced when Frenchwoman Marion Bartoli retired in the first set with a knee injury. Castano was leading 5-4.
