The National University of Science and Technology (NUST) on Saturday held fourth annual job fair 2006 at the University Auditorium here. This year's theme of the fair was "Vision beyond Excellence." The fair was inaugurated by Mian Muhammad Mansha, Chairman, Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB).
Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the need for fine-tuning the business practices to successfully meet the challenges posed by the WTO regime. These challenges can be effectively met only if the business schools focus on developing leaders well versed with finding customised solutions to the current business problems rather than harping on stereotype strategies, he opined.
"We have before us the examples of Asian economic giants like China, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea where a blend of intellectual energy and entrepreneurial spirit has brought about economic miracles. The economic boom in our immediate neighbourhood is also the result of establishment of business schools that are at par with the leading business institutions in the world".
He said, no nation can develop its full potential without the active participation of women.
Over 40 national and multinational firms participated in the fair.
