An eight-member delegation of leading manufacturers of soccer ball of Sialkot, headed by Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) President Dr Nouman Idris Butt left here for China on Sunday night.
The World Federation of Sporting Goods industry (WFSGI) has invited its members firms, engaged in soccer ball manufacturing, to attend its annual meeting in Beijing.
The delegation, during its visit, will attend the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) meeting to be attended by the owners of factories in Vietnam, China, Indonesia, Philippine and India.
Before leaving for China, Dr Butt told Business Recorder that the delegation would have discussions with the participants on various problems being faced by the sports goods manufacturers of Sialkot.
He said the event would provide an opportunity to the soccer ball manufacturers to learn more about the recently introduced mechanised soccer balls manufacturing techniques, replacing hand-stitching of the soccer balls. Besides, it would provide an opportunity to the members of the delegation to understand others viewpoint on certain issues, he added.
Dr Nouman Butt said the delegation during its stay would also visit international sport fair and leading soccer ball firms of China.
The SCCI President was of the opinion that the visit would be supportive in expanding and developing trade relations with different countries.
