Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and Northern Areas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Nacci) on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to facilitate the businessmen of the respective areas in promoting their businesses.
The RCCI president Jalil Ahmed Malik and Nacci president S.U. Baig signed the MoU. The two sides have resolved that they would facilitate their members in search of business and exchange of information. They also agreed to improve the inter-chamber interaction for trade, industry and export.
Nacci and RCCI have decided to form joint trade delegations in their areas of common interest and in case of individual trade delegation from either of the two chambers, the invitation would be extended to the other to join the delegation.
The two sides have stressed the need of exchange of technical expertise, as it would help establishment of data banks in the two chambers.
It was also decided that the Nacci would assist and provide all possible support to the RCCI members at Sust border to improve their exports and imports, while the RCCI would help business leaders of Northern Areas at Islamabad airport.
Addressing the gathering, the RCCI president Jalil Ahmed Malik said that the agreement between two chambers would help the industrialists and business community of the two areas to come closer and explore vistas of co-operation.
S.U. Baig informed the participants that Nacci has set up a camp office at Sust to facilitate the Chinese and Pakistani businessmen.
