The Karachi Port handled 75,820 tonnes of cargo including 53,212 tonnes import and 22,608 tonnes export cargo including 3,807 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 65,922 tonnes dry cargo including 47,294 tonnes general cargo; 6,097 tonnes fertiliser; 4,465 tonnes sugar; 5,505 tonnes rice; 2,561 tonnes rock phosphate and 9,898 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Six ships namely Ivory Ace, Zhen Hua-3, Mrc Sedef, Global Prosperity, Wise King and Iran Takhti sailed out to sea during the report period. Four vessels viz Zhen Hua-3, Ever Guard, Yang Jiang He and Electra-1 are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Yang Jiang He and Parsian expected to sail on Tuesday, while another ship Corinthiakos is expected to sail on Wednesday.
Four ships namely Andino Park, Orient Independence, EOS-1 and Precious due to arrive on Tuesday, while six vessels viz Adhidaya, MT Swat, Y M Energy, Hyundai Advance, Maroalabria and Kota Waruna are due to arrive on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 30,635 tonnes crude oil; 2,000 tonnes seeds; 3,722 tonnes rice; 4,460 tonnes chemicals; 15,247 tonnes iron ore and 32,623 tonnes containerised cargo.
Four ships namely CV Merkur Beach, CV MSC Nuria, CV Sealand Mariner and MT Chemstar Hero sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more vessels viz MT Yanaseni and MV Tai King are expected to sail on Tuesday.
A total of seven vessels viz Nipha Naree, Bulk Phoenix, Kudam, Samho Horn, Venus-7, Mykali and Angeliki-D are currently at the outer anchorage. Three ships namely CV Nedlloyd Muscat, MV Nipha Naree and MT Venus-7 due to take berths on Tuesday.
Oil tanker MT Keefan due to arrive on Tuesday, while three more ships namely CV Indonesia Star, Sagar and Bavaria Express are due to arrive on Wednesday.
