Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) Secretary General Jahangir Badar has said the schedule of return of party head Benazir Bhutto has been finalised and she would be back in the country prior to general elections.
While addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Badar pointing to PPP membership campaign commencing from May 1, said it would prove that PPPP was still the party of masses and deliver the goods to them as per its record in the past.
About relations with the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) in political eventualities, he said the PPPP would adhere to its decisions in general elections, adding the party remaining in the fold was committed to the struggle for democracy in the country.
Talking about party's alliance with struggle of labours' community, he said it would take out rallies throughout the country on May 1.
To a question on construction of new water reservoirs, he said the PPPP was in favour of constructing new dams. He referring to Kalabagh Dam said the party with consensus at national level also was in favour of its construction.
PPPP provincial segment Information Secretary Farzana Raja speaking on the occasion asked for establishing an independent Election Commission in the country for next general elections. She also demanded an interim government to hold fair elections.
