The 11th death anniversary of Begum Abida Malik a founder member of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was observed, here on Saturday. Qasim Zia Punjab President of PPPP applauding role of late Abida Malik said that Abida's struggle during the martial law regime of Zia would never be forgotten.
He said Abida had four times been sent to Lahore Fort, but her struggle against anti democratic forces could not be halted. Qasim said party recognising her services elevated her to central executive of the party in 1985. Former senator Sajjad Bokhari also appreciated democratic struggle of Abida on the occasion.
